Enter Mike Dunaway. While Dunaway never played on the PGA Tour, he was still legendary among tour players. Greg Norman called him the ‘longest hitter of a golf ball ever’. John Daly confessed that he could never outdrive Dunaway.
In the late 80’s, a company called Sybervision produced a golf tape featuring Dunaway. Previously they had done a tape with Al Geiberger, the first golfer to shoot a 59 in competition, so Mike was in really good company.
These ‘mind aborbing’ videos allowed us to take in the information by watching repetitively, and we would naturally absorb the form and timing. Check it out:
