Box Jumps With a Twist

Once you get the hang of doing box jumps, even on a very low platform, you can try to add more and more twist to the motion.

As we use the ground, going down then up as we move through the compound pivot, our hips and torso are also rotating.  This makes this exercise very specific and therefore an efficient training tool for building speed.

Of course don't start off with a full 180 degree twist!  This is a much more advanced move and can have a much higher risk of injury - falling on your face for one.
