Lesson 52 – The D Plane: Driver

Since we want to hit up on a driver, ideally 5 degrees, it is necessary to move the horizontal part of the swing plane to the right about the same amount.

While we could swing more from the inside to achieve this, it is simpler to just turn our feet rightwards about one inch and hit from a slightly closed stance.  This way we continue to use the same swing for all clubs.

The clubhead will be moving 5 degrees inside out when it reaches it's low point, but should not be striking the ball until a few inches . . .
