We talked about tempo in an earlier lesson, but now that we've got our swings more fully developed, let's revisit it.
Good, even, unhurried tempo is your key to more consistency and distance control in your shots. When combined with a good compound pivot, the smoothness and fluidity of the swing becomes unparalleled.
Now, when we want to turn on the speed and go for more distance off the tee, our tempo will necessarily quicken, but still stay even. Instead of 1 second for each direction, we will go to 3/4 of a second for each direction . . .
