Lesson 28 – Completing the Backswing: Hours 7, 8, 9

If we want to really hit it out there, we're going to need to recruit every muscle and joint in the body that winds up the torso.

Our weight is already essentially shifted, since the pivot is finished by the time we are halfway up.

The scapula, or shoulder blades, can wind into and away from the spine.  Inward, called adduction, is like doing a rowing machine at the gym.  We want the rear shoulder blade in this action, while the front one will wind under the chin, or abduct.

We will get around 30 degrees, or one hour . . .
