Sometimes they crown boxers greatest in the world pound for pound, but how about for driving distance in golf?
Until I see different, I have to hand the title to Aaron Davis of Phoenix, Arizona who was a respectable pro long driver.
At 5’7″ and 145 lbs., I captured Davis at 138 mph clubhead speed during a practice session in Corona. Since he was highly optimizing his launch and spin, this speed was getting the ball out there between 380 and 400 yards.
He was pretty straight for a long driver too….enough to be a pretty good tournament golfer.
